Managing People and Projects in Emergencies is a five-day course that aims to develop the competencies needed to manage people and projects effectively and apply them in a humanitarian context. The course focuses on the theoretical and practical application of management tools, techniques and approaches in the field, and on the nature of working in a humanitarian response. Through case studies and presentations, you will be able to put into practice the theoretical knowledge that you gain in the course.

- Roles and responsibilities of managers; Building and supporting a team; Communication and negotiation skills; Conflict management Leadership and motivation; Performance management;
- Project cycle management; Project management tools and techniques; Financial management; Monitoring and evaluation
- Needs assessments and analysis; Logical framework; Resource management
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The course is primarily aimed at humanitarian personnel who have or will have a management role in emergency situations. It is also relevant for project managers in the development or charity sectors interested in developing competencies for managing projects in emergencies. Individuals with humanitarian experience looking to develop project and people management skills are also welcome to attend.
